Costa Rica National Park
Costa Rica has become an increasingly popular destination for people who want to experience the beauty that nature has to offer in this country. Although he lost many of its forests, the government has made efforts to protect the wilderness, in the form of a huge system of national parks.
The park system includes 10.27% of the country, while 17% more dedicated to wildlife refuges, Indian reserves, forest reserves and “buffer zones”. The number of national parks includes about 32 different places. Included in this are about 75% of all animal and plant species found in Costa Rica, which is a big inheritance.
Corcovado
This is a great park that covers 425 km, the house offers a wide range of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and crabs. Inside the crabs alone, there are 70 different varieties. Among the 50 types of mammals are bats.
Other mammals are represented monkeys, sloths, anteaters, otters, raccoons, peccaries and several cats, including jaguars, ocelots, jaguarandis, pumas and margays. Threatened species are Baird’s tapir, harpy eagles and squirrel monkeys. One reason why there are so many variations and many wild animals because of the variety of plants with a variety of woods and marshes and beaches. The beaches are to visit all on their own.
The park is open to the public, both for day trips and camping areas. The roads are many, but beware. In some, you have to cross the rivers can be dangerous if they are at high tide. Crocodiles and bull sharks can be found in some when the water is high. The currents in both places can be dangerous.
For the most part, however, it is safe to walk on the trails here in spite of a large potential for dangerous animals. Jaguars, for example, very difficult and prefer to leave people alone. Tapirs may also represent a threat, but if left to their fate, not as a threat.
Manuel Antonio
Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most visited parks in Costa Rica, although one of the smallest. It features a variety of beaches, tropical forests, coral reefs, islands, islets and rocks of volcanic rocks. All this not only offers beautiful scenery, but provides housing for a wide variety of plants and animals including 184 species of birds and 109 species of mammals.
Among the wild animals are found here are the macao, toucans, monkeys, iguanas, sloths, pelicans, frigates and anhingas. Walks in the park to get one of spectacular views as well as allowing you to observe the beauty of nature, which can be found here.
It is worth going here just for the beaches, is considered one of the most beautiful country has to offer. Popular that the park is not too hard to find yourself alone with nature, imaging, it’s your private paradise. There are restaurants and hotels close to it so that it is easy to spend the time that you want in that place.
